Meet the Faculty Mixer

When: Thursday, March 9 @ 5-6PM (note date change)

Where: Student Center; Room 010

Undergraduate and graduate student members will have the opportunity to meet our amazing faculty members, network, and gain advice on professional/career development. 

Event is required for all members; please fill out the RSVP indicating if you will be attending. Refreshments will be served. 

Brain Day in Detroit

When: Saturday, March 11th @11-4pm

Where: Michigan Science Center

Brain Day in Detroit is an annual event held in conjunction with Brain Awareness Week that has been held for over 20 years. Volunteers are needed for this event to assist with general help (greeting attendees, organization), with Nu Rho Psi's activities, arts and crafts area, etc!  This is a great opportunity to become involved in an event that communicates science to the general public in a very fun way! 

Volunteers are also needed to set up on Friday, March 10th at 4PM. If interested, please contact Dr. Fischer at tom.fischer@wayne.edu

New 2 Neuropsychology Event

When: Wednesday, March 8 @ 12:30-2PM

Where: Zoom

N2N is an organization focused on demystifying the process of preparing for a career in neuropsychology, while increasing access and opportunities for historically underrepresented students. N2N hosts presentations and networking events and shares resources through their website (www.new2neuropsych.org) and Twitter (@New2Neuropsych). As part of the current grant, N2N is hosting events for students across Southeast Michigan, including presentations about neuropsychology, and an essay contest in which you can win amazing prizes such as textbooks, sponsored membership in a professional neuropsychology organization, and travel awards to attend the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology conference in Washington DC in June 2023.
